
The University of Mississippi (“Ole Miss”) is a comprehensive, public research university. With a mission to transform “lives, communities, and the world by providing opportunities for the people of Mississippi and beyond,” the University offers a number of online learning options. These online courses and programs are offered through Ole Miss Online (OMO) and include graduate-level degree programs in areas such as Applied Sciences, Business, and Education. Supported by the Blackboard learning platform, most of OMO’s online courses are synchronous and have a specific start and end date with assignments due at designated times. OMO is committed to serving and equipping students and offers a variety of student resources including academic advising, disability services, the University’s career center, UM Library access, and testing services.
