
Wayland Baptist University is a private, coeducational, Baptist institution of higher education. Its mission is to “educate students in an academically challenging, learning-focused, and distinctively Christian environment for professional success and service to God and humankind.” The University has been offering online programs through its online division, WBUOnline, since 2001. These programs are specifically designed for individuals whose location or work obligations do not allow them to attend traditional on-campus classes. Programs ranging from associate to doctorate degrees as well as several certificate programs are available in areas including (but not limited to) Business, Criminal Justice, Humanities, Christian Ministries/Religion, Education, Nursing, and Psychology. Courses are offered in four 11-week terms per year (Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter) and students are welcome to apply for several types of financial aid which is available.
