Education

Students can complete a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration or Accounting. As well as a dual degree in Accounting with a BS and MAcc Within the BSBA, several of the concentration options include Management Information Systems, Sport Management, Entrepreneurial Management, Business Marketing, or Business Law. The Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting covers the fundamental areas of accounting, like financial, federal income tax accounting, auditing, managerial cost, and accounting information systems. With courses like Probability and Statistics, Business Communications, and Financial Management, those who plan to complete their licensure as Certified Public Accountants will be prepared to take the next step after graduation.

Students who have previously completed an undergraduate accounting degree can finish their Master’s of Accounting in only nine months. Those without accounting coursework are still eligible to apply but will be required to complete several pre-requisite courses, which extend the time commitment to between nine months and two years. The MAcc prepares students for the CPA exam by following a well-rounded curriculum that dives deeper into the accounting foundations and adds in an extensive amount of ethics-related coursework. Courses are also required in leadership, corporate social responsibility, and negotiation.
